Our Story
Our story in Calgary began with our founder, Wilson Wong, moving his entire family to Calgary in 2011. Wilson had acquired a retiring practitioner’s accounting firm in Calgary that had been in operation in the SW of Calgary for over 30 years. Most of those original clients are still with us today. Under Wilson’s stewardship he grew the firm by clients and team members. We’ve had many Chartered Accountants come through our doors to lend us their experience over the years and we’ve had many more articling students complete their designation with us.

Wilson Wong, Practice Leader, CPA, CA, BA
Mr. Wong obtained his Chartered Accountant designation and experience in Vancouver with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in both Alberta and British Columbia.
His years of experience spans servicing a variety of businesses ranging from retail, manufacturing, high tech, oil & gas, to professional practices. The type of engagements are also varied from providing assurance for public companies to notice to reader financial statements for small businesses in Calgary.
Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Wong also served in management positions with publicly listed companies within the financial services and technology industry. The combination of his client side and external side knowledge has proven to provide a unique and clear perspective for his clients.
His areas of focus span into corporate and personal tax optimization, business advisory, corporate restructurings, and sale-purchase of businesses. His main work is providing strategic services as an accountant in Calgary for his small business clients.
Suzanne Stariha, Associate Partner, B.SC, CGA
Ms. Stariha is a Certified General Accountant. She brings to the firm years of business acumen having managed grassroots companies into global leaders of their industry. She was the former President of CSC Envirowash where she oversaw the entire company and its operations for a tenured amount of time.
Her expertise in business management and business advisory has been often called upon by our clients especially by owner-managers, manufacturing, and high tech businesses.
Her areas of focus are high net worth individuals, small business corporate taxes in Calgary, and tax optimization on investments.
Jenny Wang, Senior Manager, CISA, B.Comm.
Ms. Wang is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. She joined the firm already having acquired significant experience with Ernst&Young LLP and the Auditor General of British Columbia.
Her areas of expertise include optimization of business systems, accounting systems, and internal controls. She now brings her experience to us helping our clients with their small business needs.
Her experience in Audit of financial statements is a great compliment for our small to medium business clients as she often can provide accounting system recommendations.
Janet Sin, Intermediate Accountant, Dipl. Accounting
Ms. Sin comes from working several years with other small business accounting firms in the Calgary area. She has significant experience working with small to medium sized businesses and restaurant and catering groups.
She has lived in Hong Kong and the United States until she finally arrived in Calgary. The type of clients she has worked with are family owned operating enterprises so she has a good perspective on what operational accounting needs are for small businesses. She has significant experience preparing financial statements from Notice to Reader, Review engagements, all the way to Audits of financial statements.
She is a CPA student and we are excited to see her working towards her completion.
Nicole Xian, Intermediate Accountant, CPA Candidate, BComm.
Ms. Xian comes to us with experience working with several small business accounting and tax firms in the Calgary area. She has had significant experience preparing small business financial statements and corporate tax optimization.
She is nearly complete her experience component and awaiting for the completion of her CPA course load, we are excited for her eventual completion.
Shailee Jani, Junior Accountant, MComm.
Ms. Jani is a seasoned business professional with a master’s in commerce. She comes to us with significant experience working on personal taxes for H&R Block.
She has seen a large variety of personal tax scenarios that often brings significant value to our clients. It never ceases to amaze us at the firm the breadth of knowledge she has in the area of personal taxes.
Her experience is a great compliment to our team balancing between Corporate tax needs and the owner manager’s personal tax needs.
